Archive and Install

Remember that the Archive and Install feature of the Jaguar and Panther installers move pretty much everything into /Previous Systems/ and this includes /usr/local. In order to get X11IRAF and IDL things that you probably installed in /usr/local/bin you’ll have to navigate in the terminal into Previous System/Previous Systems 1/usr and then
% sudo mv local /usr/local
which should do the job. I’m fairly certain a fresh install of OS X does not put anything in /usr/local, but you might want to check first.
