Kitt Peak

I’m on the 2.1m at Kitt Peak through Wednesday night. The weather has been great except for some high humidity on the second night. I hiked over to the 4m today, took a lot of pictures. When I got into Tucson, I chatted with one of the IRAF programmers in the downtown office.
It’s quite beautiful here, and much warmer than I expected. The mountains are a little reminicest of West Texas in some ways… although Tucson is actually flatter than Houston but of course there are these big mountains nearby which Houston does not have.
